# Overview - Define Phase

The phase focuses on the definition of target users, problem and solution concept.

## Phase Goals

After creating separate summaries and conclusions for every research strategy from [Phase 1 - DISCOVER](/ba-portfolio/phase-1-discover/overview-discover-phase.md), I needed to combine those conclusions in order to be able to define the problem, the users and the solution I was going to use.

1. Define the specific problem
2. Define Personas based on the conducted user study
3. Redefine the design challenge and create an initial concept

## Phase Approach

The phase was dedicated to condensing the valuable insights of [Phase 1 - DISCOVER](/ba-portfolio/phase-1-discover/overview-discover-phase.md) into tangible representation that would be followed until the end of the project.&#x20;
