I needed to determine how many endpoints the buddy would have (by endpoints I mean the points where the device gets to change its state from working to breaking and the opposite). That was important because based on the endpoints affect the way the buddy syncs. The image below explains the difference between the options (click image to expand)
Used to extend the working time
Shows how a sound alert is shown (red spike) and how that can lead to a preliminary break.
They are used when the students decide to do not have countdown. They work for as long as they want if they stay quiet.
Flows that could be looked at more in-depth in the future are standup features and chronometer used for timing a brainstorming or some act. With those settings, the group does not have to take a break after the time is up.
