1 Moving Cast and Phone - Magnetic Cable

The image "Moving Cast and Phone - Magnetic Cable" represents a scenario where the phone and the cast are always connected. The phone is connected towards a USB Hub. The hub is branching out to the physical keys (that come out of the cast) and to a magnetic tip that would be used when charging the device.

1.2 Moving Cast and Phone - Magnetic Charger Plate

Another variation of the cast and phone being always connected is shown below. The difference here is that the phone would be charged by a magnetic plate. The solution does not need a USB Hub as the charging plate does not require another port usage. However, the design of the case should make sure that the wall behind the phone is thin enough for the plate to be able to charge. I came up with two variations of design - represented on the image. The downlight of this solution is that it needs a very specific and fitting cast. Moreover, a cast for the charging plates should be done so that the plate is placed vertically in the space.

2. Moving Phone Variations

Those variations represent the phone being easily removable from the cast so that the cast with all external hardware stays on the desk and only the phone is moved to charge. As the phone should be removed it is always needing a magnetic cable adapter no matter the charging method. At the charging station, the phone can be charged with either a plate or another magnetic cable. There is no need for a specific cast of the charging station as the phone is outside of the cast.
